Sunrise - Lake Tahoe State Park, NV USA
Fiery shows like this seem to always show up at sunrise. It was a pretty turbulent morning when I took this photo. There were lots of waves and since it was too dark to capture the waves sharply, I opted to go with an extended length exposure, a 4 second photo. The waves are gone, but the reflection of color stays. Herlan Peak is present in the upper right. Although it doesn’t exist anymore due to all the recent water in the lake, this use to be the boulder skipping section, where you could skip from rock to rock, getting pretty far out into the water.
